Ashley Oki is a young and sad college student living in Los Angeles. She fights with her boyfriend, Charlie, a documentary filmmaker about to go to Iran. They have been together for five years, but he always seems to be leaving. Still Life with Flowers is a quiet portrait of this young woman and the impossibility of her relationship.
