Who:
SEKANI:
(Leading role) African or African American Boy.
Slender Body. Ages
13-16 - Sekani supports his family by burying the bodies of the people of
his village that have succumbed to Aids. Sekani looses all hope until a
young girl comes to his aid.
ABEO: (Leading Role) African or African American Girl. Slender Body. Ages
13-16. Abeo is a beautiful girl that works at a local hospice where Aids
patients are being treated. Her smile and positive attitude brings hope to
everyone.
BABY: (Supporting Role)African or African American Boy. Slender body. Ages
8-11. Sekani's little brother is a playful boy who seems oblivious to the
nightmare that surrounds his family.
MOMMA: (Supporting Role) African or African American Woman. Ages 25 to 35.
Thin. Momma is Sekani's Mom. Loosing the fight to Aids, Momma tries to stay
alive as long as possible to see to that her children learn to survive on
their own.
MALIK: (Supporting Role) African or African American Man. Ages 50-65.
Slender body. Malik has seen his village go from bad to worst. He runs the
grave yard, and he teaches Sekani how to be an efficient grave digger.
DR. BENJAMIN: (Supporting Role) OPEN ETHNICITY, he is the only doctor in a
small African Hospice who struggles to attend to hundreds of patients that
are dying of Aids.
What: Independent film makers with a fully developed screen play. We
believe it is a compelling human drama, that will be well received and make
a difference. Everyone that comes on board will have fun making this
project, and will be very proud of their involvement.
